Like the five successful symposia before, the 6th International Bio-logging Symposium aims to attract a wide range of researchers who use animal-attached electronic devices to study aquatic, terrestrial and aerial species, and their habitats. The term 'bio-logging' is interpreted broadly, encompassing not only logger-based technologies but also cutting-edge telemetry applications, as well as innovative systems using passive tags. Similarly, the scientific scope of BLS6 is broad, encompassing themes that are defined by the following four biological topics:
- Ecology and Environment
- Behavior and BehaviouralEcology
- Physiology and Medicine
- Around Bio-Logging
Nestled in the heart of Europe, Constance sits on the pebble shores of the Bodensee (known as Lake Constance in English). You’re surrounded by the best Europe has to offer: it’s two hours from Munich’s Oktoberfest beer gardens (on during the BLS6 Symposium!), three hours from Italy and walking distance from Switzerland. Getting here is also easy: it’s a one hour train ride from Zurich Airport or two hours from Stuttgart.
Modern design and panoramic views combine at this state-of-the-art convention centre. The open, glass-fronted space is located on the banks of the Rhine and offers uninterrupted river vistas from almost every room. Plus, its central position just minutes by foot from Constance’s historical centre and transport hub puts you right at the action.
