Your stay at Lake Constance

accommodation

Below you will find options for rooms in Konstanz that fit all budgets. To help delegates coming to Konstanz in September, the BLS6 committee have set up a Friendship Programme. The programme aims to connect out-of-town guests with our students and scientists who can offer a spare room or sofa bed for the duration of the conference. If you are interested in joining this programme and exchanging experiences and stories with locals, please get in touch at bls6@orn.mpg.de.

IN THE HEART OF EUROPE

Nestled in the heart of Europe, Konstanz sits on the pebble shores of the Bodensee (known as Lake Constance in English). You’re surrounded by the best Europe has to offer: it’s two hours from Munich’s Oktoberfest beer gardens (on during the BLS6 Symposium!), three hours from Italy and walking distance from Switzerland. Getting here is also easy: it’s a one hour train ride from Zurich Airport or two hours from Stuttgart.

Venue

BODENSEE FORUM KONSTANZ

Modern design and panoramic views combine at this state-of-the-art convention centre. The open, glass-fronted space is located on the banks of the Rhine and offers uninterrupted river vistas from almost every room. Plus, its central position just minutes by foot from Konstanz’s historical centre and transport hub puts you right at the action.
